In 2022, international tourist groups of 500 or more will receive free or reduced fares at Ho Chi Minh City tourist attractions.
Tourism Promotion Center Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has applied incentives to large international delegations to Ho Chi Minh City in 2022.
Accordingly, visitors will receive incentives, reception support, PR & marketing, souvenirs, sightseeing tickets, and transportation depending on the number of guests.
Specifically, groups of 300, 500, and 1,000 guests or more will be welcomed by the leaders of the Tourism Promotion Center and the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and arranged for a guide vehicle.
Groups of 1,000 guests will receive souvenirs, and groups of 500 guests will receive gifts of local specialties.
The city’s tourism industry will also reduce the price of facilities equipment for meeting rooms, halls, accommodation, sound, and light at 4-5 star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City.
Groups of 500 people or more will receive free support or reduced ticket prices at tourist attractions such as the War Remnants Museum and Cu Chi Tunnels; enjoy flexible refund and cancellation policies according to airlines’ regulations.
The tourism industry will also advise and support licensing on outdoor group activities, performing arts procedures, and international conferences and seminars.
From now until 2027, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company Limited (VIAGS) will coordinate to improve the number and quality of tourists and large welcome groups of tourists, cooperation in organizing activities, events to promote domestic and foreign tourism, destination communication.
The Department also signed a cooperation agreement with the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) from 2022 to 2024.
They are allowing Ho Chi Minh City tourism to increase the opportunity to expand channels directly promoting the city’s image to European companies and citizens in Vietnam and abroad.
The two sides will promote tourism development with large numbers of tourists and culinary tourism, strengthen market research activities, tourism statistics, human resource training, sharing of tourism methods, and experience in tourism management and operation.
