This airline evaluates the resumption of 6 connecting routes between the biggest cities in Vietnam to Phu Quoc pearl island, creating favorable conditions for domestic and international tourists to visit Phu Quoc, contributing to expanding connectivity of tourist attractions in the area.

According to our sources, Vietjet will operate more than ten domestic routes in the next few months, ready to welcome passengers during the peak summer season.

Regarding international routes, recently Vietjet Thailand (a member of Vietjet) has just signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to carry out marketing and promotional activities between the two sides, to promote and attract the number of tourists to Thailand, especially from Vietnam and Cambodia markets.

Representatives of airlines assessed that, from mid-February, the fact that Vietnam did not limit the frequency of operating regular international routes to all markets, creating favorable conditions for airlines to restore and expand. The global flight network, preparing to meet the demand for international tourism, will officially open on March 15.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has issued scenarios to forecast the growth of Vietnam’s aviation market in 2022, which can welcome 42-43 million passengers.

In addition to international routes focusing on Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the agency has received many requests to reopen flights from some European countries to central provinces and cities.

It is expected that the number of international visitors to and from Vietnam will increase sharply in the coming period, to recover back to the level before the COVID-19 epidemic gradually.
